Brands I've Done Work For

Twelve years of paid media, a few names I can say out loud.

Alt Press Music media
Ring Smart home security
Live Nation Live events
+ Hundreds More Twelve years of client rosters don't fit on one page.

Client work lives at the agency. None of these brands have anything to do with what gets reviewed here, and none of them get a softer verdict for it.

The Longer Version

Most reviews you read online were paid for. I would know. Running paid media for hundreds of brands teaches you exactly how much of what you read online is bought, and by whom. Undercorrect exists because I got tired of reading reviews I knew were ads wearing a costume.

So the rules here are the opposite of the day job. Everything reviewed on this site comes out of my own pocket, at full price, with the receipt to prove it. No press samples, no affiliate-first picks, no launch-day takes. A verdict lands after weeks of real use or it doesn't land at all.

The agency background isn't a conflict, it's the qualification. I know what a paid placement smells like because I've bought thousands of them. When I tell you Granola earned fourteen dollars a month or Pocket beat Plaud in my pocket, that's a customer talking, not a partner.

The rest of the site's rules, and the only place Evan-the-person shows up besides this page, live on the about page.

What I Can Actually Speak To

The through-line is voice, not category. But some subjects come with more hours behind them than others.

Performance Marketing

Google Ads, Performance Max, measurement. The day job for over a decade, and the subject I'll die on hills for.

AI Tools

Notetakers, recorders, agents. If it promises to save me time, I've probably already paid for it and timed the difference.

Spirits

Tequila and bourbon, bought at retail like everyone else. The bottle is either empty or it isn't.

Everything Else

Cars, couches, cat gear. If money left my account and an opinion formed, it's eligible.

The Record So Far

Every verdict published to date. When one goes stale, the post gets updated and says so.

The Reviews Are The Resume.

Twelve years of credentials mean nothing if the verdicts don't hold up. Go read them and decide for yourself.
